Samsung Notes App Update 4.4.30.63 Brings Galaxy Tab S11 Features to Older Devices
On September 15, Samsung released an update for its Notes app (version 4.4.30.63), bringing new features originally exclusive to the Galaxy Tab S11 series to older Samsung devices.
New Features in the Update
Horizontal Paper Layout
Previously, the Samsung Notes app only supported vertical paper layouts, which were mainly designed for note-taking scenarios. The new update introduces a horizontal paper layout, focusing on drawing scenarios. Users can now use the app to sketch simple diagrams directly within the app, although more detailed and precise drawing tasks are still recommended to be done with other specialized apps.
Sticky Notes Functionality
Another significant addition is the sticky notes feature. Users can now place virtual sticky notes on top of their notes to highlight key points, reminders, or summaries. This feature allows for quick reference and summarization of the content, making it easier for users to capture and review important information.
Galaxy Tab S11 Series Overview
The Galaxy Tab S11 series was launched on September 4. The series includes two models: the standard S11 with a 10.9-inch OLED screen and the Ultra model with a 14.6-inch OLED screen. The Ultra model features a smaller notch due to the reduction of the front camera to a single unit, while maintaining a resolution of 2960x1848. Both models support a 120Hz refresh rate and have a peak brightness of 1600 nits. They are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor and run on One UI 8, based on Android 16.

Galaxy AI Integration
The update also highlights the integration of Samsung Galaxy AI, which assists users with text creation, drawing, and audio summarization. A notable feature is the “floating Galaxy AI window,” which can be used in conjunction with the split-screen mode, enhancing productivity and multitasking capabilities.
Conclusion
This update not only brings new features to older devices but also enhances the overall user experience of the Samsung Notes app. Users can now enjoy more versatile note-taking and drawing options, making the app more comprehensive and user-friendly. Whether you are using an older Samsung device or the latest Galaxy Tab S11, this update is a significant step forward in improving your digital note-taking experience.
