INMO Launches Jackson Wang's Magic AI Glasses J, a $199 Display-Free Pair

The 40.1g glasses drop the AR screen in favour of an 8MP camera, real-time translation and open-ear audio.

INMO has launched the Magic AI Glasses J, a pair of fashion-first smart glasses designed with Hong Kong artist and TEAM WANG founder Jackson Wang. The glasses list at $299 and are currently on offer at $199 on INMO's US store. They ship in three to seven business days, though the listing shows them sold out with a notify-me option as of writing.

What INMO announced

The J weighs 40.1g on a polyamide frame and skips the in-lens display that INMO uses on its GO3 model. Instead, INMO leans on an 8MP camera, the "Hey Magic" voice assistant, real-time translation in 32 languages, voice navigation, Bluetooth 5.2 calls and open-ear audio. Storage is 32GB, the glasses run on a real-time OS, and a 265mAh Lithium-Polymer battery charges in about 2.5 hours over a magnetic connector. INMO does not publish a runtime in hours.

Why Jackson Wang

The choice of Jackson Wang is central to the pitch. Born in Hong Kong in 1994, Wang moved from elite fencing to a career as a rapper, singer and member of K-pop group GOT7, and founded TEAM WANG in 2017, later expanding it into the fashion label TEAM WANG Design. INMO frames the collaboration as shared identity rather than merchandise, positioning the glasses alongside streetwear and self-expression rather than as a gadget with a celebrity name attached.

A display-free bet

INMO's argument is that smart glasses will only reach a wider audience if people want to wear them daily, not because they can translate a conversation. The J is built around that idea: a light frame with TAC polarised, outdoor-shade lenses, closer to sunglasses than to a computer worn on the face. Dropping the display removes a heavy, costly optical layer, at the cost of features such as translation subtitles or a visual route, which are easier to read than to hear.

The camera and privacy

The camera handles voice-triggered, hands-free photo and video from the wearer's point of view, with an accompanying Memories app on iOS and Android that syncs content in one tap. On privacy, INMO says a recording indicator light turns on automatically during capture to signal that the camera is active, a growing concern for face-worn cameras.

AI, translation and audio

For the AI features, the assistant wakes on voice or a button. INMO lists translation in 32 languages in real time and 135 languages with one-tap translation, voice navigation for walking or cycling through a paired phone, and three built-in microphones for calls. The company notes that language availability and performance vary by region, software version and network conditions.

How it compares to the INMO GO3

The J sits below INMO's GO3, which targets productivity and communication.

The GO3, priced at $699 and discounted to $599, adds automatic recording, transcription and AI summaries of calls and meetings, a seven-language teleprompter and hands-free AR navigation, and holds a 4.1 out of 5 rating across seven reviews.

Price, availability and what to watch

INMO has not confirmed pricing or availability outside the United States, leaving buyers in Latin America and other markets waiting for a regional launch. At $199, the J undercuts display-based AR glasses by a wide margin. Whether it holds up will come down to the unglamorous details INMO has yet to quantify, chief among them real-world battery life, call quality and how well the translation keeps pace with a live conversation.
