Pimax Unveils ProFit Face Cushion for Dream Air SE, Boosting Comfort and Field of View

Pimax has quietly dropped a welcome upgrade for its ultralight PCVR headset. On August 14, the company launched the ProFit face cushion for the Dream Air SE, and it’s more than just a softer pad—it actually widens what you see inside the headset.
The key trick is geometry. The ProFit cushion sits closer to your face, shrinking the gap between your eyes and the lenses. That tighter proximity translates into a noticeably larger visible field of view (FOV), even though the rendered FOV spec itself hasn’t changed. In other words, you’re simply seeing more of the existing image without any software tweaks.Pimax ProFit Face Cushion
Comfort gets a rethink, too. Pimax swapped in a higher-density foam pad wrapped in Studioform fabric. Instead of pressing against your brow, the cushion now distributes pressure across your cheekbones—a shift that should make long sessions far more comfortable. Light leakage is also reduced, so immersion stays intact.
A small but practical touch: the top of the cushion is cut out to expose the headset’s upper USB-C port, keeping it accessible for accessories or charging without removing the face pad.Pimax ProFit Face Cushion
For context, the Dream Air SE is already a featherweight contender in the PCVR space. It packs Micro OLED panels with a combined resolution of 5120×2560, a 105° horizontal FOV, 120 Hz eye tracking, integrated spatial audio and microphone, and a body that weighs just 140 grams.
If you already own a Dream Air SE, the ProFit cushion looks like a no-brainer upgrade—better comfort, better immersion, and zero compromises.
