8BitDo and Rare Collaborate on a Special Edition Ultimate XPro+ Controller, Marking Brand's First Official Xbox Wireless License

Gaming accessory manufacturer 8BitDo has officially announced the launch of the Ultimate XPro+ Rare 40th Anniversary Edition game controller. This release marks a significant milestone, representing not only a collaboration with the legendary game studio Rare but also the debut of 8BitDo's first officially licensed 2.4GHz Xbox wireless controller.

The design of the controller pays homage to Rare, the studio behind iconic titles such as *GoldenEye 007*, *Banjo-Kazooie*, and *Sea of Thieves*. It features a striking blue and gold color scheme, which is characteristic of the studio's branding. The controller's aesthetic is further enhanced with a metallic zinc alloy D-pad and decorative patterns that incorporate intellectual property (IP) elements from Rare's beloved game library.

Engineered for performance, the Ultimate XPro+ Rare 40th Anniversary Edition is equipped with high-end features. It includes Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, which offer superior precision and durability by eliminating stick drift. The controller also boasts realistic vibration trigger technology and two mappable back paddles (P1 / P2) for customizable controls, catering to competitive gamers.

Designed with ergonomics in mind, the controller is targeted towards users with small to medium-sized hands. For extended gaming sessions, it houses a 1000mAh battery that provides up to 20 hours of gameplay on a single charge. The package also includes a convenient charging dock with an automatic start/stop function for seamless power management.
