GoPro Hero and Hero 13 Black Specs Revealed In Leaked Unboxing Video
After months of anticipation and speculation, GoPro has finally confirmed that it will be launching its latest action cameras, including the Hero 13 Black tomorrow. But, just 24 hours away from officially introducing these devices, various sources have managed to get their hands on close-up images of the retail packaging for not just the Hero 13 Black, but also the standard Hero.
This comes just after @Quadro_News revealed a series of promotional images for the Hero 13 Black. Interestingly, there is no indication of a MAX 360 successor, despite previous hints suggesting that a MAX 2.0 would be launched alongside the Hero and Hero 13 Black.
As seen in the images below, Hero 13 Black will significantly outperform the Hero in several key areas. For example, while the Hero 13 Black will be capable of capturing images at an impressive 27MP, the Hero will be limited to a lower resolution of 12MP.
Similarly, while the Hero 13 Black can record footage at an impressive 5.3K resolution at 60 frames per second or 4K resolution at 120 frames per second, the Hero will be limited to capturing 4K resolution at 30 frames per second or 2.7K resolution at 60 frames per second. The images above provide a detailed look at the specifications and features of both cameras.
Pricing
While official pricing hasn’t been announced, industry insiders speculate the Hero 13 Black will be priced similarly to its predecessor at around $499. The Hero’s price point remains unknown but is expected to offer a different value proposition.
As mentioned above, GoPro will reveal its new products tomorrow through a live stream starting at 6 am PT (9 pm local time). You can watch the broadcast on the brand’s official website and social media channels.
