Megamini G1 On Kickstarter: World’s Smallest Liquid-Cooled Gaming PC
A new project has been launched on Kickstarter promising nothing less than the “world’s smallest liquid-cooled gaming PC.” The Megamini G1 is a collaboration between Chinese companies Tecno and Geekom.
Compact, quiet and powerful
The computer has a volume of 5.74 liters with dimensions of 255 x 150 x 150 mm, and It uses an aluminum alloy body shell and is equipped with a unique micro a-Si TFT display on the front, which provides real-time monitoring of hardware information.
Megamini G1 comes in two configurations, the first one has an Intel Core i7-13700 H, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and the second, more powerful version is powered by an Intel Core i9-13900H, which works with 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX4060 graphics card.
While most mini PCs rely on integrated graphics or APUs, both version features an Nvidia RTX 4060 mobile GPU. However, this is the notebook version of the graphics solution, which is significantly weaker than the desktop counterpart.
To keep temperatures under control, it comes equipped with a custom-designed water cooling system. The system is powered by a high-performance 2.0LPM maximum flow water pump and utilizes 360ml of cooling liquid. This allows for an impressive 8 cooling liquid cycles per minute.
Furthermore, the water pump operates at an ultra-quiet level of less than 26 dB. The cooling system also includes a large 6888mm2 pure copper radiator that covers both the CPU and GPU, providing comprehensive and efficient cooling for even the most demanding applications.
Additionally, the cooling system is equipped with two industrial-grade fans. A 120 mm fan with nine blades and a 70 mm fan together create a total air flow of 106 CFM with a noise level of less than 36 dB. With a total power consumption of 250W, the MEGAMINI G1 is designed to deliver exceptional performance in a compact package.
The interfaces include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.0, 3.5 mm cinch, an SD card reader, Ethernet, several USB ports (some with Thunderbolt), and OCulink with PCIe 4.0 x4.
Starting at $1,499
The first version of the MegaMini G1 starts at around $1,499 and integrates the Intel Core i7-13620H, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and an NVMe SSD with 1TB capacity. The higher-quality version uses an Intel Core i9-13900H. This is combined with the same amount of RAM but twice the storage space. The price in this case increases to $1,699.
The campaign for this computer is currently running on Kickstarter. The campaign goal has already been reached, although there are still 39 days left. However, the prices mentioned are only valid for a limited period as part of a "Launch Day Special". Delivery is scheduled to start in November 2024.
