Meizu StarV View: The Latest AR Smart Glasses Hits Pre-Sale at $352
In a major announcement at the launch conference of Lynk & Co Z10, General Manager of Lynk & Co Automobile Sales Company Lin Jie revealed several new products from Meizu, including the highly anticipated AR smart glasses, StarV View, which promises to provide an immersive entertainment experience like never before.
The first AR glasses of the brand is now available for pre-order at a special price of $352, offering two stylish color options: Star Grey and Dawn Orange.
Sleek Design and Advanced Features
Designed for entertainment and leisure, the StarV View glasses uses BirdBath technology to provide an immersive experience while gaming, watching movies, or working on light tasks. The device is perfect for use in various scenarios, such as airplanes, high-speed trains, subways, cars, and camping sites.
The StarV View features a sleek design with a ratio of 1.6:1.2:1 and a new soft temple design that provides a comfortable fit without pinching or pressing the nose bridge. The temple surface is coated with nano-particles for added durability and texture. Weighing in at just 74 grams, this device is incredibly lightweight.
In terms of display, its MicroOLED screen has a single-eye resolution of up to 1920*1080, supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 700 nits brightness, and offers a retina-level imaging effect (PPD 51).
The display can cover 108% of the sRGB color gamut and supports 10 levels of brightness adjustment and three color modes. Additionally, the AR glasses can project a massive 188-inch giant screen 6 meters away, providing an immersive viewing experience like a cinema.
In terms of audio, the StarV View features a built-in custom speaker with a dual sound hole design, which meets the Golden Ear standard for exceptional sound quality. With a simple touch of the temple button, users can quickly make and receive voice calls. Additionally, the device supports dual-mic call noise reduction.
Pre-installed with the Flyme XR 2.0 spatial operating system, the StarV View supports 3DoF spatial positioning and can be paired with a range of devices, including Switch, smartphones, PC, PS5, Steamdeck, and more. Whether on-the-go or at home, users can enjoy an immersive entertainment experience on a virtual 188-inch giant screen.
Additionally, the StarV View features myopia adjustment from 0 to 600 degrees, eliminating the need for additional lenses. The device has also received SGS certifications for low blue light emission and flicker-free operation, reducing the impact on eye health. While, its Flyme XR 2.0 system provides a smooth human-computer interaction experience, with support for various gesture operations to further enhance usability.
