TCL CSOT Showcases a Three-Fold IJP OLED Portable Display at IFA 2026
TCL CSOT used IFA 2026 to show off a set of new IJP OLED display concepts, including what it calls the world’s first IJP OLED foldable portable display.
The standout is a 28-inch portable screen that uses a three-fold design. Folded, it measures 16 inches diagonally; unfolded, it expands to 28 inches. TCL CSOT says the panel has an R1.8mm folding radius and an unfolded thickness of 4.48mm, aiming to combine laptop-like portability with a much larger viewing area.
A Portable Display That Grows and Shrinks
This is not a laptop replacement in the usual sense. Instead, TCL CSOT is exploring how a large-screen display can remain easy to carry without turning into a rigid slab.
The three-fold structure is the key idea here. In folded form, the display is compact enough to move around more easily, while the larger unfolded size should make it more useful for multitasking, content viewing, or presentation-style work.
That makes the panel interesting not just as a piece of display engineering, but as a sign of where portable screens could go next if foldable formats keep maturing.
More IJP OLED Panels on Show
The company also showed a 14-inch 2K anti-glare laptop display built on IJP OLED technology. TCL CSOT says it covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which should make it suitable for color-sensitive notebook use.
Another highlight is an improved 27-inch UHD 120Hz IJP OLED monitor panel, which TCL CSOT says reaches a full-screen brightness of 500 nits and delivers a 10% generational improvement.
Those numbers matter because OLED display development is not just about contrast anymore. TCL CSOT is also pushing brightness, refresh rate, and portability, all at once.
Beyond Standard OLED
TCL CSOT’s IFA booth also included a 65-inch 2D 8K / 3D 4K TV panel, a 32-inch consumer AI real-time 8K holographic display panel, and a 28.5-inch IGZO e-paper screen.
That mix suggests the company is treating IJP OLED as part of a broader display platform rather than a single product category. The portable foldable screen may be the most eye-catching demo, but the larger message is that OLED and related display technologies are moving into more formats at once.
