Keychron Unveils Trio of Ultra-Thin Scissor-Switch Keyboards with Round Keycaps
Keychron has expanded its keyboard lineup with the launch of three new ultra-thin, tri-mode models featuring a distinctive design. At the end of October, the company introduced the B5 Pro, B4 Pro, and B3 Pro, a series that stands out with its unique round keycaps and reliable scissor-switch mechanism. This new trio offers users an alternative to conventional square keycaps and comes in three popular layouts: the 112-key 100% B5 Pro, the 100-key 96% B4 Pro, and the 79-key 75% B3 Pro.

All three keyboards are constructed with an ABS chassis and designed for a clean, minimalist aesthetic without backlighting. They offer versatile tri-mode connectivity, supporting USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connections. Each model is equipped with a built-in 800mAh battery, which delivers an impressive battery life of up to 300 hours, making them ideal for long, uninterrupted work sessions.

Functionality and user experience are central to the new series. The keyboards feature a layout compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. For added convenience, users can quickly access the emoji panel with a simple fn + shift shortcut. Furthermore, the keyboards support input remapping through the Keychron Launcher, a web-based driver that allows for extensive customization. A minor design note is that the more compact B4 Pro and B3 Pro models feature half-height left and right arrow keys.
In terms of pricing, Keychron has positioned these models competitively. Both the full-sized B5 Pro and the 96% B4 Pro are listed on the official website for $39.99. The most compact model, the 75% B3 Pro, is priced slightly lower at $34.99.
