CMF by Nothing has Released its First Offering

The first trio of gadgets from the CMF branch of Nothing have materialized, with their official launch scheduled for September 30 according to the CMF website. The new umbrella of the Nothing brand hopes to deliver a timeless functional design that brings great value to the consumer, starting with the CMF Buds Pro, CMF Watch Pro, and the CMF Power 65W GaN.

The Buds Pro offers 48db of hybrid active noise cancellation and 11 hours of non-stop playback, the Watch Pro boasts a 600+ nits 1.96-inch AMOLED display with multi-system GPS, and the Power 65W Gan charger is a sleek companion that lets you charge up to three devices simultaneously.

The Most Powerful Laser in the World Is Under Construction

Scientists in the UK are currently working on what will become the world’s largest laser. The laser, known as the Vulcan 20-20, will reportedly have the potential to power the entire National Grid with a single pulse. 

It is believed that the technology will have practical applications in renewable energy, batteries, and nuclear fusion, and the laser will ensure that the UK retains its leadership role in the industry of plasma physics research. £85 million has been invested into the project which will take approximately 6 years to complete.

The Fitbit Charge 6 Is Officially Launching this Week

Nearly two whole years after their last fitness watch was released, Fitbit is releasing the Fitbit Charge 6 this week. Fitbit was one of the pioneers of the fitness watch industry, and they’ve taken the time to improve what’s still considered to be one of the best fitness watches of 2023, the Charge 5, which was released in August 2021.

The new watch promises to be sleeker in design and smoother in functionality, featuring a force-sensitive button that makes navigating the screen easier, and access to more apps like YouTube Music and Google Maps.

PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan Is Stepping Down After Nearly 3 Decades

A Sony press release from September 27th confirms that Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) CEO and PlayStation head Jim Ryan will be stepping down from his position in March 2024. The current CFO of SIE, Hiroki Totoki, will be stepping in to fill the position of chairman starting in October. 

Ryan has been with Sony for nearly 30 years since 1994, playing a significant role during the launch of the PlayStation 5 in 2020, and being a prominent figure during the battle between Microsoft and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) earlier this year. The incoming chairman Hiroki Totoki has been with SIE since 1987, taking on the role of CFO and President in 2019.

It’s been only a week since iPhone users got their hands on the latest flagship device, and buyers are already bringing forth a list of problems that they’ve encountered on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to the Daily Mail.

According to the reports, the most significant problem that users are facing is related to the device’s inability to maintain a cool temperature while performing regular tasks. It’s also been reported that the phone’s hardware isn’t durable and it can physically bend under pressure.

PlayStation Announces that Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition Is Coming 

Gamers will soon be able to enjoy the full quest of the Forbidden West and the Ruins of Los Angeles when the complete collection of the game is released for PlayStation 5 on October 6. The game follows machine hunter Aloy on her race to save the planet’s depleting biosphere before humanity is destroyed. 

 The complete edition will feature Horizon Forbidden West for PS5, Burning Shores DLC for PS5, a digital soundtrack and art book, and the Horizon Zero Dawn Vol. 1: The Sunhawk digital comic book, plus an entire host of in-game items. Unfortunately, PC gamers will have to wait until 2024 for their complete edition.

Huawei and Chery Take Shots at Tesla Model S

Huawei and Chery Autos have partnered to create an electronic vehicle known as the Luxeed S7, which is expected to debut in late November according to the South China Morning Post. In a recent interview, the head of Huawei’s car unit Richard Yu Chengdong said that the vehicle will be better than the Tesla Model S in multiple ways. 

The collaboration with Chery is Hauwei’s second venture into the automobile industry, a journey that began in 2021 when they partnered with automaker Seres to create the Aito brand, which is now a complete subsidiary of Huawei. Huawei has also been supplying other automakers with intelligent automotive solutions.
