Garmin and JL Audio Unveil the Ultra-Premium Primacy Home Audio System

Following its acquisition of high-end audio brand JL Audio in August 2023, Garmin is making a significant entry into the luxury home audio market with the launch of the Primacy series. This new lineup is engineered for discerning audiophiles and includes three core components: the T6 floor-standing speakers, the S3 bookshelf speakers, and the CS Stereo Center.

Designed specifically for living room environments, the Primacy series sets a new standard for home audio. The entire lineup comes standard with advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology, supporting high-resolution audio up to 32-bit/192kHz for pristine sound reproduction.

The T6 is a three-way active tower speaker designed for floor placement, while the S3 is a more compact two-way active bookshelf model. Both speakers feature an innovative "one driver, one amplifier" architecture, dedicating a separate amplifier to each driver to eliminate the power allocation compromises found in traditional active speakers. For a personalized touch, users can customize the appearance with interchangeable panels available in a variety of high-end finishes.

The heart of the system is the CS Stereo Center, which combines the functions of a preamplifier and a network streamer. It features the innovative P.A.R.O. (Primacy Automatic Room Optimization) function, which automatically analyzes the room's acoustic properties and adjusts the sound for the best possible listening experience.

The CS Stereo Center connects to the Primacy speakers via a Dante digital network, ensuring a high-fidelity, low-latency connection. It supports all major streaming protocols, including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, AirPlay, and Google Cast. The system can be controlled with the included wireless desktop remote, which features a volume knob and touch buttons, or through the dedicated Primacy App for remote operation.

The Primacy series is positioned at the pinnacle of the market. The T6 floor-standing speakers are priced at $90,000 per pair, while the S3 bookshelf speakers cost $35,000 per pair, with optional stands available for an additional $3,500. The CS Stereo Center is priced at $15,000. With this launch, Garmin and JL Audio have delivered an uncompromising audio system that combines cutting-edge technology with luxurious design for the most demanding audiophiles.
