Bill Gates Says GPT-5 Won’t Be Any Better

Speaking to the German business newspaper Handelsblatt, Gates shared his belief that GPT-5 can only be refined and can’t possibly see any significant new features.
In the interview, the tech mogul described the jump from GPT-2 to GPT-4 as incredible, and he also shared some predictions for the future of AI software stating that it’ll become increasingly accurate but also more expensive.
YouTube Music Gets an Update Including AI-generated Pictures
YouTube Music has launched a host of new features to make finding music, personalizing playlists, and building music communities a faster and much simpler process. This is to help their customer base of more than 2 billion listeners enjoy a more personalized music experience on the app.
One of the main updates is the ability to create unique playlist art to suit your preferences with the help of an AI generator, plus you can now interact with other music fans in the comments section and share your thoughts on new music or old classics.
Garmin D2 Mach 1 Watch with Built-in Flashlight Releases Globally
Garmin recently made a watch with a built-in LED watch specifically designed specifically for aviators, and it’s finally been released to the global market. In addition to standard smartwatch features like smart notifications and access to apps, the Garmin D2 Mach 1 has aviation-specific features like aviation weather, information for different airports, locally stored maps, and multi-Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) support.
The premium wearable also boasts the ability to monitor blood oxygen levels at different altitudes, and it has a 1.4-inch AMOLED screen and up to 25 days of battery life. The Garmin D2 Mach 1 will retail for $1,399.99, £1,449.99, and €1,649.99 respectively, and could take up to 8 weeks to ship in the UK.
What the Apple Scary Fast Event Could Have in Store
Apple has confirmed that the “Scary Fast” event will take place at the end of the month, which could be an absolute treat for those who are in the market for new Mac models. Rumors surrounding the event point to the release of up to four new M3 Macs plus information about a new “scary fast” MacBook Pro M3 Pro.
All of the improvements will reportedly be attributed to a new 3nm M3 chip, which is set to be the star of the Scary Fast event. It’s scheduled to take place on the evening of October 30

Meta is Being Sued by 33 US States for Causing Depression in Children
The NY Times reports that a case has been brought forth against the social media companies Instagram and Facebook, as well as their parent company Meta, for knowingly using psychological methods to lure children onto their platforms.
Colorado and California led the lawsuit which has since been supported by more than 30 other states including New York. The number of states present in the lawsuit reportedly shows a conglomerate effort by state leaders to promote the online safety of children.
iOS 17.1 Officially Goes Live and Brings Interesting Features
Apple has officially released the latest software update, iOS 17.1, delivering improved features for phones and tablets. This version of the update will allow Apple users to continue using AirDrop even when the sender/receiver is out of range, as well as feature improved navigation and personalization abilities for music.
Some of the software updates are only beneficial to iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users, like the crash detection optimization and options to control when the screen turns off. Apple also reports that there are improvements to the keyboard that make entering text faster and easier than ever before.
