Halliday Launches Smart Glasses With Tiny Screens, Priced From $399

Halliday Smart Glasses Launch

At the CES 2025 event taking place in the US, Halliday Glasses officially introduced a new smart glass, featuring active AI support and a near-eye display that displays information directly in the user's field of view. The company said its new smart glasses will go on sale after CES 2025. They will be available to consumers by the end of the first quarter of this year for $399 to $499.

Halliday says the “DigiWindow,” located in the upper right corner of the glasses’ frame, is the world’s smallest and lightest near-eye display module and can display information to the wearer “regardless of whether they have perfect vision or need vision correction.” It displays as a 3.5-inch screen in the upper right corner of the user’s field of vision with minimal obstruction and still provides a clear viewing experience under bright light sources like the sun, according to Halliday.

The display, when paired with an AI assistant, can anticipate user needs by analyzing conversations, answering questions, and providing additional details without prompting. For example, during a meeting, it can proactively answer complex questions, summarize key discussion points, and create meeting summary notes afterward, Halliday said in his announcement.

The AI features require the glasses to be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth, Halliday said, but the company hasn’t said what AI model it uses or if there’s an additional cost. Features include real-time AI translation in up to 40 languages, live navigation for directions, voice memo transcriptions to text, and synced lyrics while listening to music. Users can also discreetly view and reply to messages, take audio notes, and display notes as a teleprompter.

Near-eye displays are supported on both prescription lenses. Information is invisible to others and can be controlled by voice commands, frame interface controls, or a ring with a built-in trackpad. Halliday says the glasses weigh 35 grams, offer up to eight hours of battery life, and come in two color options matte black or tortoiseshell.
