Redmi K80 Pro Gets a 50MP Telephoto Camera and a 6000mAh Battery
Xiaomi will officially launch the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro phones on November 27. This duo is expected to have high-end specifications and many interesting features. Today, a new leak has revealed some of the main features of the Redmi K80 Pro that will bet on a huge battery and a renewed camera system.
FoneArena recently published a report confirming that the new Redmi K80 Pro will have a huge 6,000mAh battery with 120W ultra-fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.
Likewise, this leak also confirms that the new Redmi flagship will mount a triple rear camera module that will be composed of a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor, a 32MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 120º viewing angle, and a 50MP telephoto sensor that integrates a 10-centimeter macro camera.
According to the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, this telephoto sensor is the same one that equips the new Xiaomi 15, but, unlike this one, it has a focal length of 24 mm, which means that it will have a 2.5X optical zoom and not 2.7X like the Xiaomi 15.
In addition to the hardware upgrades, Xiaomi also touts its latest photography software, Xiaomi AISP 2.0, on the K80 Pro. The technology promises photos richer in detail. To show off its capabilities, the Chinese firm has shared two shots in telephoto mode with beautiful color reproduction.
As for the rest of the features of the new Redmi K80 Pro, everything seems to indicate that it will have a chassis with a metal frame and a thickness of only 1.9 mm, with a 6.67-inch M9 OLED flat screen with a 2K resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits and Qualcomm's new star chipset under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Other expected specifications of the phone include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, Dragon Crystal Glass on both the front and back, and IP68/IP69 certification for dust and water resistance.
