Lenovo Launches ThinkVision P40WD-40: A 5K2K Productivity Powerhouse

Sept. 5, 2025 — Lenovo is expanding its professional display lineup with the ThinkVision P40WD-40, a 39.7-inch ultra-wide curved monitor built for those who need serious screen real estate, precise colors, and versatile connectivity.

The ThinkVision P40WD-40 is equipped with an IPS Black display panel that delivers impressive visual quality. It has a brightness of 400 nits, HDR10 certification, a contrast ratio of 2000:1, and supports a variable refresh rate (VRR) ranging from 24 to 120 Hz. The display also covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut and 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it suitable for professional tasks that require accurate color representation.

In terms of connectivity, the P40WD-40 offers a comprehensive range of interfaces. It includes one full-function Thunderbolt 4 upstream interface that supports DP 1.4 Alt and 140W PD-out, one Thunderbolt 4 downstream interface, one HDMI 2.1 interface, one pair of DisplayPort 1.4 upstream and downstream interfaces, one 2.5GbE RJ45 interface, two USB-C 5Gbps (15W) interfaces, and five USB-A 5Gbps interfaces. This rich set of ports allows for seamless integration with various devices and peripherals.

The display has also obtained TÜV Rheinland hardware low blue light and five-star eye protection certification, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience even during extended use. Additionally, it supports DisplayPort energy-saving technology, which dynamically adjusts the refresh rate without compromising visual quality.

The Lenovo ThinkVision P40WD-40 is set to hit the market in November 2025, with an expected starting price of €1499. This new display is poised to become a powerful tool for professionals who demand high performance and versatility in their work displays.
