Sharp AQUOS R11 Unveiled: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Meets Unique Breathing Light Design
Sharp has officially unveiled the AQUOS R11, its latest smartphone targeting the mid-to-high-end market. Powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, the device combines premium performance with a unique aesthetic. It is scheduled for release on July 9, though the price for the SIM-free version has not yet been announced.
The AQUOS R11 showcases a minimalist "miyake design" and is available in "Navy Blue," "Ivory Yellow," and "Terracotta Red." It measures 156x74x8.9mm, weighs 195g, and offers robust IPX5/IPX8/IPX9/IP6X water and dust resistance. The front features a 6.5-inch Pro IGZO OLED display with a 2340x1080 resolution and an impressive peak brightness of 3600 nits. A 50.3MP punch-hole camera is integrated for selfies.

On the rear, the phone is equipped with a next-generation camera system supervised by Leica. This triple-camera setup consists of a 50.3MP main sensor, a 50.3MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 38.5MP telephoto lens. The system is enhanced with smart features, including AI-powered automatic zoom adjustment to improve the photography experience.

A distinctive feature of the AQUOS R11 is the breathing light integrated into the rear camera module. This light provides notifications using eight different nature-inspired colors. To complement this, Sharp has introduced a "white noise mode" that works with the breathing light to create a soothing atmosphere, perfect for relaxation or unwinding before sleep.

Internally, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor is paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. A 5100mAh battery powers the device, supporting 36W charging. For connectivity, it includes Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 7. The Sharp AQUOS R11 stands out as a compelling option that balances powerful hardware with thoughtful, user-focused design elements.
