Xiaomi MK 71 Pro Mechanical Keyboard Debuts: 71-Key TTC Switches With a Screen

Xiaomi MK 71 Pro Mechanical Keyboard Launch

As announced by General Manager Chen Bo, today the Xiaomi ecosystem has unveiled a new Mechanical Keyboard "Xiaomi MK 71 Pro". This keyboard features a compact 71-key layout and captivating RGB backlighting that adds to its aesthetic appeal.

What sets the MK 71 Pro apart is its gasket structure, which is designed to optimize typing comfort. Additionally, it uses TTC switches, which offer a tactile experience that Chen says resembles a mix of black and red switches, with a unique feel similar to silver switches.

The keyboard's 1.6mm trigger stroke and 1000Hz response time promise snappy performance. Besides, its small built-in display, which is located just above the arrow keys can display GIFs, as well as the time, date, and remaining battery life.

Another impressive feature is its support for interchangeable switches without soldering. However, details on other specifications are still secret, as Chen did not elaborate on this aspect during the presentation.

MK 71 Pro Mechanical Keyboard features

This innovative keyboard follows the launch of the Xiaomi TKL Mechanical Keyboard, which made its debut in October of last year. This model featured an 87-key layout and two switch variants: the linear VC Pro and the tactile VB Pro. In addition, it was compatible with both Windows and macOS operating systems.

The MK 71 Pro is expected to be available for purchase soon, with additional pricing details and features likely to be revealed closer to the release date.
