Vivo V70 and V70 Elite Teased: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, Zeiss Triple Cameras, and More

Vivo has begun teasing its upcoming V70 and V70 Elite smartphones in the Indian market, setting the stage for a February launch. The new series is poised to make a significant impact, with the Elite model featuring the high-end Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, standard UFS 4.1 storage, and a premium metal frame for an improved look and feel.

The camera system is a major highlight across the series. Both phones feature a Zeiss co-engineered triple-camera system, which includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens. The key differentiator is the ultra-wide camera: the V70 has an 8MP sensor, while the V70 Elite upgrades to a much more capable 50MP sensor.

On the front, both devices are fitted with a 50MP selfie camera. They share a 1.5K resolution flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a massive 6500mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging support, and an impressive IP69 rating for top-tier dust and water resistance.

Diving into the core specifications, the V70 Elite will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the standard V70 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. On the software front, the series will run on OriginOS 6, based on Android 16, and will come with a suite of AI features.

While official pricing remains under wraps, sources have indicated that the series will be priced below 55,000 Indian Rupees. This aggressive pricing strategy could position the V70 and V70 Elite as formidable contenders in the market, offering flagship-grade features without the flagship price tag.
