HKC Showcases 27-Inch 5K RGB Mini LED Panel With 1,792 Dimming Zones
HKC has showcased what it claims is the world’s first 5K RGB Mini LED display panel at ChinaJoy 2026. The 27-inch-class panel is designed for content creators and combines a 90Hz refresh rate with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The panel uses oxide backplane technology and features 1,792 local dimming zones. HKC has not yet announced whether the panel will enter mass production or appear in a commercially available monitor.
Alongside the 5K model, HKC displayed a 27-inch gaming panel capable of operating in three resolution and refresh-rate modes. It supports QHD at 650Hz, Full HD at 840Hz and HD at up to 1,300Hz.
The high-refresh-rate panel uses HKC’s HMO, or high-mobility oxide, backplane technology. The different modes allow resolution to be reduced in exchange for a higher refresh rate, with the 1,300Hz mode representing the panel’s maximum setting.
HKC also brought a 36.5-inch 8K glasses-free 3D display and a 116-inch QD Mini LED television to the event.
Another product on display was the HKC Apex 27U160D, a 27-inch UHD monitor using RGB Mini LED technology. Compared with the 27U165D previously shown at Computex, the new model has a slightly lower refresh rate.
Pricing, release dates, and wider availability for the showcased panels have not been announced.
