Sharp Enters the Wearable Market with a New Smartwatch and Smart Ring, Launching July 9

Sharp has officially announced its entry into the wearable device market, revealed during its AQUOS R11 launch event. The company is set to release its first-ever smartwatch, the Karada Mate Watch (MH-W01), and a smart ring, the Karada Mate Ring (MH-R01), on July 9th.

The Karada Mate Watch will be available in gold and silver color options and features a standard 22mm watch band. It is equipped with a unique "Circuit View" user interface. During the day, the interface displays key metrics such as steps, heart rate, and calories burned. Before bedtime, it conveniently switches to show the next day's weather forecast and schedule.

A standout feature of the watch is its use of HEALBE's patented "FLOW Technology." This innovative technology automatically measures calorie intake by monitoring the body's water flow, eliminating the need for users to manually log their meals. Wearers can effortlessly track their calorie intake and expenditure balance. The watch also monitors the body's hydration levels and provides automatic reminders when it's time to drink water.

Alongside the watch, Sharp is introducing the Karada Mate Ring. This smart ring boasts an IPX8 water resistance rating and is designed to be lightweight and discreet, measuring 6.7mm in width, 2.8mm in thickness, and weighing between 2.1 to 3.1 grams. It is packed with SOXAI sensing technology, including an accelerometer, an optical heart rate sensor, an infrared sensor, and a skin temperature sensor. These components work together to measure metrics like sleep depth, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels.

Both wearable devices integrate with the "Karada Mate" health application, allowing for centralized management of all measured data. This premium service provides personalized dietary advice and guidance from registered dietitians, offering a more comprehensive health management experience.
