In tribute to the first film in the series, released on the big screen in 1962, this new limited edition of the Leica D-Lux 7 will be delivered in only 1962 copies , for a price of 1990 €. That's barely €640 difference with the “classic” version of the case.

This exclusive 007 Edition is distinguished by its unique diamond texture, present on both the body and the handle of the device. We also find the famous 007 logo on the top cover. Finally, the lens cover takes up the gun barrel motif, an essential element of the credits of all James Bond films.

Additionally, this limited version comes with a holster-like leather holster – most commonly used for carrying a handgun. As a further nod to the famous hero created by novelist Ian Flemming. This case must also make it possible to draw the camera in all circumstances.

This is not the first time that these two worlds meet. Thus, in 2021, a limited version of the Leica Q2 was launched on the occasion of the 25th film in the series.

Technical Sheet

Moreover, this Edition 007 incorporates all the technical characteristics of the Leica D-Lux 7. Launched in 2018, the latter closely derives from the Panasonic Lumix LX100 II. It thus inherits a 17MP Micro 4/3 sensor. The image ratio (4:3, 3:2, 16:9 or 1:1) can be chosen easily thanks to a switch present on the lens.

The “classic” version of the Leica D-Lux 7 is also available with a silver finish.

The case is equipped with a bright 24-75 mm equivalent zoom, with a sliding aperture of f/1.7 to f/2.8. The ISO range extends from ISO 200 to 25600, opening up some interesting vistas for night owls. In bursts, the D-Lux 7 goes up to 11 fps. However, its buffer can store 32 images in RAW only. In video, it shoots in 4K at 30 fps.

Very compact, it measures 11.8 cm wide , 6.6 cm high and 6.4 cm deep. All for a fairly contained weight of 403 grams. Last noteworthy point: it is not tropicalized: be careful if you use it in humid or dusty environments.
