Foldable iPhone Reportedly Coming Next Year

Although foldable phones have yet to win over users, they are a market trend, and companies like Apple know it. We're still waiting for their proposal. Little is known about the foldable iPhone, but a recent and dubious leak has shared several details about it.
What is known about the foldable iPhone is that its launch would be delayed because the company wants to make the hinge as unnoticeable as possible, a detail that has been noticed in other devices already launched. Apple has very high-quality standards so the project could be canceled.
Details about the foldable iPhone
Everything indicated that the foldable iPhone would arrive with a clamshell or vertical folding mechanism, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. However, this new leak suggests otherwise, stating that the device would have a book-style closure, with the hinge on the left side.
The leaker claims that the screen will be manufactured by Samsung, which seems quite likely. Its size could be 6.1 inches, with a total diagonal of 7.5 inches, which is a good screen size for both open and closed formats.

In terms of dimensions, there is not much good news. The foldable iPhone would be 4.6 mm thick when unfolded and 9.2 mm thick when closed. If Apple pays so much attention to details like the hinge and has very thin devices like the iPad Pro, it is strange that they do not try to reduce its thickness when closed.
Other details mentioned about the foldable iPhone include its battery and camera system. According to the leak, the following would be included:
- Two batteries with a stainless steel casing and a total capacity of up to 5000mAh.
- Meta's ultra-thin lens technology, although other companies such as Largan, Sunwoo, Lantega, Foxconn, and LG could also participate.
Rumors point to the foldable iPhone launching in the fall of next year, with mass production beginning in June of this year or, if there are delays, in early 2026. This device would not arrive alone, since a year later, in 2027, a foldable iPad would also be launched. For more daily updates, please visit our Newsroom.
