Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim Won't be Released Until May (Rumor)

Galaxy S25 Slim launch

The Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event will take place on January 22, but it doesn't seem like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will be released right away. The device, which should distinguish itself by a very thin casing, may not see the light of day until May. That is according to a user on the Chinese social network Weibo.

Since the source is rather unknown, we take the news with a grain of salt. It is also possible that Samsung will briefly show the S25 Slim during the event, and only fully reveal it later. In a teaser (see below) that the company recently shared, the corners of four smartphones can be seen.

Galaxy Unpacked 2025

The Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra are certainties for the event, which is why we secretly assumed that Samsung would also come with the Slim.

What we know about the S25 Slim

Samsung is expected to equip the smartphone with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display, which supports 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the battery will have a capacity between 4700mAh and 5000mAh, and the device will have the Android 15 operating system, with One UI 7 interface.

On the back, the Galaxy S25 Slim will feature a triple camera setup. According to leaker Gadgetsdata, the setup includes a 200-megapixel main sensor (Samsung HP5), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens (Samsung JN5), and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom.

Galaxy S25 Slim design

On the other hand, the model's ultra-thin design seems to be aimed at competing directly with the iPhone 17 Air. This is because Apple's device will also focus on a more compact profile and is expected to launch in September 2025.

At the moment, the company has not yet revealed details about the memory and storage configurations of the Galaxy S25 Slim. However, more information is expected to emerge in the coming months as Samsung gets closer to the launch.
