Samsung's new flagship SSD 990 Pro will be available on November 1st

Samsung officially announced today that the new flagship SSD 990 Pro will be available for pre-sale on November 1st.

According to Samsung's official introduction, Samsung's 990 PRO series products use V-NAND technology and the newly launched self-developed controller, and have super speed in the PCIe 4.0 interface.

The Samsung 990 PRO series has sequential read and write speeds of up to 7 450MB/s and 6900MB/s, and random read and write speeds of up to 1400K and 1550K IOPS, respectively.

Compared with the 980 PRO, the random read and write performance of the 990 PRO is improved by 55%. The Samsung 990 PRO retails for $179 for the 1TB model and $309 for the 2TB version.
