Android's First Circular Smartwatch Makes a Comeback: Motorola Moto 360 (2025) Renderings Unveiled
Motorola is reportedly planning to relaunch the Moto 360 smartwatch in 2025, according to Android Headline. The device will maintain its signature circular design and offer five color options.
The original Moto 360, released in March 2014, was the first Android Wear smartwatch with a circular face. A second generation followed in 2015, but the line was discontinued in 2017. A third-generation Moto 360 was launched in 2019, but it was produced by eBuyNow, a Canadian company, under license.
The renders reveal that the 2025 Moto 360 will keep the circular display. It features a crown at the 2 o'clock position and a button at the 4 o'clock position. As mentioned, it will be available in five colors.

A key question is which operating system the new smartwatch will use. Previous Motorola smartwatches, including the Moto Watch Fit, have used Moto Watch OS, a custom real-time operating system (RTOS) developed by Motorola, instead of Wear OS.
The media speculates that the interface shown in the renderings resembles Wear OS. Therefore, Motorola might adopt a dual-OS strategy, integrating both Wear OS and Moto Watch OS to handle tasks of varying intensity.
The revival of the Moto 360 with a familiar circular design and potential dual-OS approach signals Motorola's renewed commitment to the smartwatch market. The 2025 model aims to blend classic aesthetics with modern functionality, offering consumers a compelling wearable option.
