Apple Considering a New Gray Color for iPhone 17 / Pro, Inspired by iPhone 6

On July 23rd, tech media majinbuofficial reported that Apple is testing a new gray color for the iPhone 17 standard model, inspired by the classic iPhone 6 design. This gray color was initially planned for the iPhone 16 Pro in 2024, but Apple ultimately chose the desert titanium color instead. Now, it appears that Apple is reconsidering this gray shade for the iPhone 17 base model and iPhone 17 Pro.

The new gray color is said to give the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro a refined and elegant look, especially when paired with the aluminum frame and glass back. This design is expected to appeal to users who cherish the classic Apple aesthetic. Apple has already tested the gray version of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro internally, but it remains uncertain whether this color will be included in the final retail models.

If Apple decides to launch the gray version, it might drop one of the existing white or black colors to avoid visual overlap. Stay tuned for more updates on the iPhone 17 series!
