vivo Officially Announces the S60 Series: Featuring a Stunning Cold-Carved Glass Design and a New 'Shining' Color

vivo's Product Manager, Han Boxiao, has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of the vivo S60 series, sharing exciting details about the new smartphone's design philosophy.

Building on the clean, white aesthetic of the previous S50 series' "Winter Confession," the new S60 series shifts its inspiration to a different season. The company aimed to create a design that embodies the essence of summer and captures the unique atmosphere of the seaside.

The back of the device features a silver-white base color, inspired by the shimmering starlight on the ocean's surface during summer. As the phone is tilted, these points of light will appear to flow and move, creating a dynamic visual effect. The design is meant to evoke feelings of sunshine, beaches, and starry seas.

A key highlight of the S60 series is its use of a super-large area, one-piece cold-carved glass for the back panel. This advanced manufacturing process is said to provide an exceptional in-hand feel and a remarkable sense of transparency and depth.

In addition to the design details, Han Boxiao also shared a partial image showcasing the new colorway for the vivo S60 series. He teased that the name of this new color is related to both the sea and starlight, reinforcing the summer-inspired theme.
