Xiaomi 16 Leaked: First to Feature POCO OS 3 with Focus Notifications on an "Island

On August 7th, XiaomiTime shared a set of images revealing the Xiaomi 16 running POCO OS 3. The new OS features a notification system similar to Apple's "Dynamic Island," displaying pill-shaped content in the top cutout area of the screen for adaptive notifications.

The leaked screenshots also confirmed the presence of the Xiaomi Community app, indicating that the Xiaomi 16 will be launched globally, not just in select markets as previously rumored. Xiaomi is expected to roll out POCO OS 3 in China in September, with India, Europe, and Southeast Asia following in October or November. Thanks to the early release of Android 16, some devices might receive POCO OS 3 updates as early as September 2025. If all goes as planned, the Xiaomi 16 series will be the first to come pre-installed with POCO OS 3.

The Xiaomi 16 standard model is expected to retain the design language of its predecessor, with a screen size ranging from 6.32 to 6.36 inches. It will also feature an upgraded battery capacity of 6800mAh, supporting 100W fast charging.

In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi 16 is set to be launched in September 2025, powered by Qualcomm's second-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra chip.
