Honor Officially Confirms Magic V6 to Feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite Chip

Honor has officially announced a key specification for its upcoming flagship foldable smartphone, the Magic V6. In a teaser video released on February 22nd, the company confirmed that the new device will be powered by the 5th Gen Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, promising "full-powered performance, leaving no stone unturned."

This official confirmation follows earlier regulatory filings that hinted at the device's imminent arrival. On February 4th, two models, PNM-AN10 (Standard Edition) and PNM-AN20 (Beidou Edition), passed China's 3C certification. These model numbers were previously linked to the Honor Magic V6 in the GSMA IMEI database, suggesting that the launch is approaching.

Adding to the excitement, recent leaks have provided a glimpse into the device's potential design and other specifications. A prominent blogger previously shared an image of celebrity Nicholas Tse holding a foldable phone, which is claimed to be a red version of the upcoming Honor Magic V6.

Further details from industry insiders suggest the Magic V6 is set for an earlier-than-expected release. Leaks indicate that engineering prototypes are being tested with a 200-megapixel primary camera and a massive 7000mAh-level battery. Despite the large battery, the device is also rumored to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, potentially making it the foldable phone with the largest battery capacity in 2026.
