Two renewable energy projects backed by Amazon in China are operational

October 26, Amazon announced that the first two renewable energy projects supported by Amazon in China, the Shandong solar power plant and the Qian'an wind power plant, have been officially put into operation. The two projects have a combined installed capacity of 200 megawatts (MW) and are expected to generate 496,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of clean energy annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 250,000 ordinary Chinese households. In addition, the two renewable energy projects contribute to local environmental, economic and educational development through investments in local communities.
