COVID Strikes Again: Final Fantasy XVI Delayed For Half A Year

Square Enix had originally planned to announce some juicy details about the game at the end of 2021, but seeing as that deadline has come and passed, it has inveitvebly means that the timeline for the game as a whole is now delayed. This was sadly confirmed a couple of days ago, when word came directly from the Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida on the official Final Fantasy XVI Twitter. In his public letter he announced with a heavy heart that the game will indeed be delayed for another 6 months or so. He explained in his letter that the ongoing COVID pandemic caused unexpected complication leading to the delay and apologized to Final Fantasy fans across the globe for this unfortunate delay.
