Google's New Hardware Launch Faces Staggered Release, Key Devices Delayed Until October

According to a recent report by Roland Quandt of the German publication WinFuture, Google's upcoming hardware launch, anticipated for August 20th, will see a staggered release for its new products. Citing information from sources, the report suggests that not all announced devices will be available for purchase in the same month.

The devices reportedly affected by this delay include the highly anticipated Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the new Pixel Watch 4, and the Pixel Buds 2a. The primary reason cited for this postponement is ongoing "supply chain issues," pushing their official sale date back to October 9th.

In contrast, the standard models in the new smartphone lineup are expected to launch as planned. The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are all slated for an August 28th release, offering a more immediate option for consumers looking to upgrade.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is shaping up to be a premium device, reportedly featuring a Tensor G5 processor manufactured by TSMC and a newly designed hinge. Other rumored specifications include an upgraded 6.4-inch outer display, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and a starting price of $1,799.
