Google's Pixel Buds 2a Renders Leak: A Successor to the Budget Earbuds After Four Years

After a four-year wait, it appears Google is finally ready to launch a successor to its most affordable earbuds. Tech outlet Android Headline has released a set of high-definition renders showcasing the upcoming Google Pixel Buds 2a on July 31st. These new earbuds are expected to make their official debut alongside the Pixel 10 series, with a potential launch date of August 20th.

The leaked images prominently feature the Pixel Buds 2a in a new "Iris" blue color. However, this is expected to be just one of several options available at launch. Previous reports suggest that Google will also offer the earbuds in Hazel, Strawberry, and Fog Light, which is speculated to be a white or off-white variant.

While specific technical specifications for the Pixel Buds 2a are still under wraps, it is widely anticipated that Google will deliver improvements in key areas such as battery life and overall sound quality. This upcoming release is significant as it marks the first successor to the Pixel Buds A-Series, which was originally launched in June 2021.

In addition to the new budget-friendly earbuds, sources claim the Pixel 10 launch event will also see an update for the premium line. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 is expected to receive a new "Sterling" color option, which is described as possibly having a matte or metallic finish, though concrete details are not yet available.
