Honor Announces Major Camera Upgrade for Magic5 & V2 Series in Early January

Honor users are in for a treat as the company has announced plans to roll out a significant camera-focused software update in early January. The update is slated for several flagship models, including the Honor Magic5 series, the Magic V2 foldable, and the V Purse, promising to introduce a suite of creative new features originally seen on newer devices.

A standout feature in this update is the new "Color Tracking" mode for video recording. This innovative tool allows users to select and lock onto a specific color within the frame. Once locked, that color remains vibrant while the rest of the video turns to black and white. This creates a dramatic, high-contrast visual effect, offering a powerful tool for artistic expression in videography.

In addition to video enhancements, photography enthusiasts will appreciate the addition of new "Film Styles" for both the front and rear cameras. These styles are designed to give photos a more artistic and professional look, with options such as "Texture," "Classic," and "Artistic." This expansion of camera modes provides users with more tools to express their creativity directly through the native camera application.

The update will be available for a range of Honor's premium devices. The specific models confirmed to receive these new features include the Honor Magic5, Magic5 Pro, and Magic5 Ultimate Edition, as well as the foldable Honor Magic V2, its Magic V2 Ultimate Edition, and the stylish V Purse.

These new camera functions were first introduced with the launch of the Honor 100 series. By bringing them to older flagship models, Honor is demonstrating a strong commitment to providing long-term value and feature support for its existing user base, ensuring that more customers can enjoy the latest software innovations without needing to upgrade their hardware.
