Insta360 X6 Reportedly Set to Launch on July 30, Leaked Images Reveal Key Specs
Insta360 may be preparing to launch its next-generation 360-degree action camera, the Insta360 X6, later this month.
According to leaks shared by Igor Bogdanov on X, packaging renders of the Insta360 X6 have surfaced online, revealing several possible upgrades. The camera is said to support 8K 30fps 360-degree video recording, with battery life of up to 140 minutes in that mode.

The leaked packaging also mentions PureVideo mode, which is expected to improve image quality in low-light scenes. Another notable upgrade appears to be an improved replaceable lens system, which could make the camera more practical for action and travel creators who often shoot in rough environments.
Separately, Reddit user u/FunnySushi1738 shared real-life photos of what appears to be the Insta360 X6. The device looks slightly taller than the GoPro Max 360, while its body appears shorter than the previous-generation Insta360 X5.
The leak also suggests that the Insta360 X6 will feature a 2600mAh battery. The retail box may include accessories such as an invisible selfie stick, lens guards, and a charging hub.
According to the Reddit user, the Insta360 X6 is expected to launch on July 30. If the leaked specs are accurate, the X6 could be a meaningful upgrade for creators looking for longer battery life, better low-light performance, and more flexible lens protection in a compact 360 camera.
If the July 30 launch date is accurate, the Insta360 X6 could arrive as one of the most interesting 360 cameras of the year. Longer 8K recording time, improved low-light performance, and a more practical replaceable lens design would all be meaningful upgrades for travel vloggers, action sports creators, and anyone who wants a more durable everyday 360 camera.
Still, the biggest question will be price. If Insta360 can keep the X6 competitive while offering these upgrades, it may become a strong choice for creators looking to upgrade from the X5 or switch from GoPro’s 360 lineup.
Would you consider upgrading to the Insta360 X6 if these leaked specs are confirmed? What feature matters most to you in a 360 camera: battery life, image quality, durability, or price?
