Marshall Unveils Heddon Hub: Upgrade Your Bluetooth Speakers with Multi-Room Sync

Marshall has announced the launch of the Heddon, a music streaming hub designed to bring multi-room synchronized playback capabilities to its existing lineup of Bluetooth speakers. Priced at $300, this device allows users to link multiple older Marshall speakers for a seamless audio experience throughout their home.

Unlike conventional systems that rely on Wi-Fi for direct speaker-to-speaker synchronization, the Heddon employs Auracast technology as its core transmission method. The hub first connects to Wi-Fi to access streaming services like Spotify Connect and Tidal, or receives audio from other sources via Google Cast and AirPlay. It then distributes the audio signal to compatible speakers using Auracast.

The Heddon is specifically designed to work with Marshall's Acton III, Stanmore III, and Woburn III speakers. Playback control is conveniently managed through the Marshall app. For added versatility, the device also includes RCA inputs, allowing for the connection of external audio sources such as turntables or other analog devices.

A significant advantage of the Heddon is its ability to substantially extend the lifespan of existing audio equipment. It provides a modern multi-room experience without requiring customers to purchase new Wi-Fi-enabled speaker models, offering a sustainable upgrade path by simply adding a central hub to their current setup.

To celebrate the launch, Marshall is offering a promotional deal. Customers who purchase an Acton III, Stanmore III, or Woburn III speaker can buy the Heddon hub at a 50% discount. Furthermore, the hub is offered for free to those who purchase two or more eligible Marshall home speakers at once.
