Shortly after launching the EliteMini AI370 with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, manufacturer Minisforum has announced the launch of a new set of mini PCs. This time, it has unveiled the 129i7 and 790S7 models, which seem to differ mainly in the processor architecture.

The more efficient and therefore more expensive Minisforum 790S7 model features an AMD Ryzen 7 7940HX processor, which can be supplemented by 32GB of DDR5 RAM as standard. There are two M.2 connectors on board, which will allow you to connect 2280 SSDs.

There will also be an M.2 connector for network cards, as well as one Ethernet port and seven USB ports. The most important aspect for many people, however, will be the PCI Express 5.0 slot, which will allow you to create a much "stronger" configuration for games, as well as video editing, etc.

The variant without RAM and SSD is priced at 499 euros; you can buy it at this address.

The cheaper of the two brothers in question is equipped with an Intel Core i9-12900HK processor, while only a version without SSD and RAM is available. In the latter case, there are two slots for older modules in the DDR4 standard. Most available USB ports and the PCIe slot are also more "older" versions.
