According to current leaks, we can expect new phones with under-screen front cameras to debut as early as next year.

Who don't know

The under-screen front camera technology requires reducing the pixel density of the light-transmitting area to increase light transmittance and enhance imaging quality. However, increasing the screen resolution increases pixel density, which can negatively impact imaging quality.

In other words, achieving 1.5K or even 2K resolution requires significant advancements in on-screen material, light transmittance, image processing algorithms, and more. However, if successful, it will bring users more realistic display effects and selfie experiences.
