nubia Z80 Ultra: A flagship built for full-screen fans and camera lovers

On September 26, a tech blogger on the China Weibo platform shared details about Nubia’s next big release—the Z80 Ultra. Slated for October, this flagship continues nubia’s true full-screen design tradition, with no punch holes or notches, plus a powerful triple main camera system that includes a large-sensor ultra-wide lens.

What makes it special?

  • Seamless display: No front camera cutouts—just a pure, uninterrupted screen.

  • Triple main camera setup: Includes a 1/1.55" ultra-wide sensor, f/1.8 aperture, and seven lens elements for better clarity and edge control.

  • Next-gen power: The first phone to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Ultra processor.

  • 7th-gen under-screen camera: Keeps selfies hidden beneath the display without sacrificing quality.

  • Full 5G support: Including SA/NSA, eMBB, and roaming.

Compared with the earlier Z70 Ultra, which came with the Snapdragon 8 Ultra and an under-screen camera, the Z80 Ultra looks like a bold upgrade with stronger optics and more processing muscle.

With its advanced cameras and true full-screen design, the Z80 Ultra is shaping up to be a standout in the flagship smartphone market.

What do you think—does Nubia’s design philosophy stand out against other Android flagships?
