Viwoods Unveils AiPaper Reader C: A Color E-Ink Phone with 4G Connectivity

Viwoods has officially launched its AiPaper Reader C in the international market, introducing a new e-paper phone designed for avid readers. This device is equipped with a 6.13-inch color E-Ink screen, making it an excellent choice for enjoying comics and viewing images on a paper-like display.

The primary upgrade from its predecessor, the AiPaper Reader, is the introduction of a color screen. The AiPaper Reader C features a 6.13-inch Carta 1300 display with Kaleido 3 color technology. However, there is a trade-off: when operating in color mode, the resolution decreases to 824x1648 pixels, and the pixel density drops to 150 PPI. This means the device may not render highly detailed images with perfect clarity.

Under the hood, the AiPaper Reader C is powered by an octa-core 2.0GHz processor and comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It runs on the Android 16 operating system, allowing users to install third-party applications for a more versatile experience. The device is slim and portable, with dimensions of 159.39 × 80.27 × 6.7 mm.

For connectivity, the device includes a 2580mAh battery and supports both Wi-Fi and 4G networks via a physical SIM card slot, ensuring you can stay connected on the go. It's important to note that while it supports 4G for data, the device does not have voice call functionality.

Additional features enhance its usability, including a microphone and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button for secure and convenient unlocking. For a better reading experience, the device also includes physical page-turn buttons on the right side, allowing users to navigate content without touching the screen.
