realme GT8 Pro Launched: Featuring a Mechanical Assembly Design, Ricoh Co-Engineered Cameras, and Fifth-Generation Snapdragon 8

realme has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the GT8 Pro. This new device aims to make a statement with several industry-first features, including a unique mechanical assembly design, a camera system co-developed with Ricoh, and the powerful Fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition processor.

Exterior Design

The realme GT8 Pro introduces an industry-first mechanical assembly design. The camera module, dubbed the "Gate of Stars," is a standout feature. The phone is available in two color options: "Starry Night Black" and "Bright Moon Silver." It measures 8.9mm in thickness and weighs 210g.

Display

The device is equipped with a 6.78-inch 1.5K display that utilizes BOE's X1 luminescent material. It boasts an impressive peak brightness of 4500nit, a global maximum brightness of 1600nit, and a manual maximum brightness of 1000nit. The screen features an 8T LTPO panel with a variable refresh rate from 0.5Hz to 144Hz, supports Pro-XDR high dynamic range, and incorporates 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming along with 20,000 levels of brightness adjustment.

Performance

Under the hood, the realme GT8 Pro is powered by the Fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship chip. It can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. For enthusiasts, the phone includes Geek Performance Panel 2.0 and a "Burn Mode" that allows the CPU and GPU to run at their full frequencies. To manage heat, it features a 10014mm² 3VC ice-sealed cooling system.

Imaging

In a significant collaboration, the phone's imaging system is co-engineered with Ricoh. The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with OIS, which is the same primary telephoto lens found in the OnePlus 11. It also features a 50MP Sony IMX890 periscope telephoto lens with OIS, offering 2.7x optical zoom, 6x optical-quality zoom, and up to 120x super zoom. The trio is completed by an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens. The camera supports ProLight super night scene, a super light and shadow engine, and can record video in Dolby Vision.

Battery and Other Features

The realme GT8 Pro is powered by a 5400mAh battery and supports 100W light-speed second charging, which can reportedly charge the device to 100% in just 27 minutes. The charger supports 11V / 9.1A or 5V / 2A outputs. Other notable features include NFC, an infrared remote control, an X-axis linear motor, Dolby Atmos dual speakers, IP64 dust and water resistance, and it runs on realme UI 5.0.
