iQOO has officially launched its new 15R smartphone in the Indian market on February 24th. Aimed at young professionals, the device packs a suite of high-end specifications, including the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and a stunning 6.59-inch AMOLED screen. The new phone is introduced with a starting price of 44,999 Indian Rupees (approximately $540 USD).

The display is a key highlight of the iQOO 15R. It features a 6.59-inch panel with a sharp 2750*1260 resolution, protected by Schott Xensation Alpha glass. The screen is designed for an immersive visual experience, offering a fluid 144Hz high refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 5000 nits. To complement the powerful visuals, the phone can be configured with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample space for all files.

Powering the device is a massive 7600mAh battery, designed for extended use. It supports 100W wired fast charging, which the company claims can charge the phone from 1% to 50% in just 33 minutes. Additional power features include bypass charging for gaming and wired reverse charging. To manage performance during intensive tasks, the 15R is equipped with a 6.5K IceCore VC liquid cooling system. Gamers will also appreciate the frame interpolation technology, which enables games like BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) to run at a smooth 144 fps.

In the camera department, the iQOO 15R features a versatile triple-camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700V main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The phone is also packed with other premium features, such as a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and a robust IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. The device is available in two color options: Dark Night Knight and Triumph Silver.
