Heyup Tryouts is our way of giving tech-savvy folks a chance to test out selected products and share their unfiltered opinions with our community. This helps everyone make smarter buying decisions.

Why should you hop on board with Heyup?

1. You get to play around with some of the latest and most desired tech items for free, and they're yours to keep. No hidden costs or shipping fees.
2. Your feedback can influence the buying decisions of others, help brands grow, and foster a tight-knit community.
3. Stay in the loop with the latest tech trends.
4. Discover and share the latest products you're excited about in the community. The product you recommend could be picked for tryouts.

What's this about casting a wish?

It's our way of helping you discover cool products that might pique your interest. We scour the globe for unique and innovative items, and if you see something you like, you can cast a wish for it. Once the wish goal is reached, we'll make the product available to you. But, if a product has been on Heyup for three months and doesn't get enough wishes, we'll have to take it off the platform. So, keep an eye out for products you love and spread the word!

How does Heyup decide on the number of wishes?

We mainly determine the number of wishes based on the product's value. Things like when it was launched, how popular it is, and how many prototypes are available also play a part.

How can you apply for Tryouts?

Step 1: Show interest in the products you like. We'll start the tryouts once enough people have shown interest, and you'll be the first to know when it happens. 

Step 2: To apply for the Tryouts, just fill out the application form honestly during the application period. 

Step 3: Wait patiently for the selection email. We'll pick qualified participants and send an instruction email to those who are selected. 

Step 4: If you're chosen, please reply to the email within 5 days and follow the instructions to try out the product. If you don't receive a selection email, it means you weren't chosen this time around. 

Step 5: After using the product, please share your review with photos or videos in the Review Section and start a discussion in the Heyup Community.

How can you increase your chances of being selected?

Share reviews on the products. Join the discussion in our Heyup community. The more active you are, the better your chances of being selected. Show off your tech knowledge in the community.

What's expected of a Tester?

To become a Tester, simply fill out the application form honestly. Wait for the announcement of tester selection. If you're chosen, we'll reach out to you via email. Within 14 days of receiving the product, you'll need to post a detailed review on the forum. There might be surveys to fill out for certain brands/products (if applicable). By signing up, you agree to our Terms of Use and acknowledge that Heyup owns all reviews, comments, and pictures posted on the website.

How do we choose product testers?

Our product testers are chosen based on a combination of factors, including the availability of free products, specific criteria we have established, active participation in the community, the content provided in the application form, and the user's social profile. It's not a matter of luck, and Heyup employees and their families are not eligible to apply. If you need assistance, feel free to contact Support@heyupnow.com. Just a heads up, Heyup Tryouts may evolve over time. 

When will I get my test product?

You should have your product in your hands within 7 business days after we've shipped it. If it's been more than a week and you still haven't received your shipment, shoot us an email at support@heyupnow.com and we'll sort it out.

Are the tryout products only for folks in the US/Canada or can anyone worldwide get them?

Well, it depends on the product. Some are available globally, others might be limited to certain countries. Just check the product tryout page, it'll tell you where the product is available.

How long will it take for me to get the product?

Once the tryouts are over, we usually pick and announce the testers within a day or two. If you're one of the lucky ones, we'll drop you an email and give you a tracking number once your product is on its way. Shipping usually takes about a week to ten days. After you've received your product, you've got 14 days to leave your review on Heyup.

Do I have to be a Heyup Tester to review products? Or can I review stuff I bought before?

Everyone's welcome to share their tech reviews on Heyup, tester or not. If you've got a product you've used and want to talk about, feel free to write a review. Just sign up as a Heyup member and you're good to go.

Can I keep the product I tried out?

Absolutely! Once you've shared your review, the tryout product is all yours to keep.

Can I try out more than one product at a time?

Sure thing! You can apply to try out as many products as you like within the application period. We pick testers based on the number of free products we have and a few other criteria.

Where to leave a review for tryout products on Heyup?

If you've given one of our tryout products a whirl, head over to the product page and drop your review in the Review Section! Feel free to share your thoughts in our community too.

What should I include in my product review?

1. Give it a score: Rate the product from 1 to 5, with 5 being top-notch. 
2. What you loved and didn't love so much: How it looks How easy it was to set up and connect How well the display works How it functions How it performs in different places like home, office, etc. Any other things you noticed
3. Compare it with other similar products (if you've used any) 
4. Any suggestions for the product: What didn't you like? How could it be better? What apps or customizations would you like to see? 
5. Price range: How much would you be willing to pay for it?
6. Show and tell: Include photos and videos if you can.

Just a heads up: If your review doesn't meet our guidelines, we might ask you to tweak it and submit it again. If not, you won't be able to get the Tester’s badge and the perks that come with it.

Heyup Review Guidelines

1. Be specific. Don't just say you like the product, tell us why. The more details and examples, the better. 
2. Be clear. Check your grammar and spelling before you submit. 
3. Be balanced. Try to mention both the good and the not-so-good, even if you lean one way.
4. Stay on topic. Stick to your own experience with the product and avoid going off on a tangent.
5. Show us. Add photos or videos of the product in action.
6. Spread the word: Once your review is up, share it with your friends, family, and followers on social media. Don't forget to tag us!

What should you include in your review? 

We encourage Testers to share their honest product experiences, including both the advantages and disadvantages. Feel free to mention any downsides you encountered, whether it's a product from Heyup Tryouts or the Heyup Store. We value transparency and appreciate well-rounded feedback.

Do I need to be a Heyup Tester to write a review? 

Absolutely not! We welcome all product experts in the Heyup Community to share their tech reviews from various perspectives, regardless of your identity. As long as you sign up as a Heyuper, you can write reviews and contribute to the community.

What happens if I don't submit my review on time as a Heyup Tester?

We understand that life can get busy sometimes. However, if you fail to share your review within the given timeframe as a Heyup Tester, your community points will be canceled, and you won't be eligible for future Heyup events. We appreciate your understanding.
