    Nothing Ear (Stick) Review

Nothing has created an aesthetically unique product, all while coming in at a very competitive price point. Indeed, almost every aspect from the packaging to the product has a creatively unique twist that gives pause to recognize & appreciate the little details that the Nothing Team designed into these earphones. The Ear Stick’s most comparable product on the market is currently Apple’s AirPods 3rd generation which retails for $169, $69 more than the Ear Stick. Please do note that these earphones are in a separate category from the Ear 1’s since they lack ANC as well as the in ear Silicone tips. Now for those who are in the market for new wireless earphones and are undecided here are some facts to note.

-The Ear Sticks lack ANC (Active Noise Canceling)

-The Ear Sticks Retail for $99 USD

-The Ear Sticks charge via Case with A USB-C cable

-The Ear Sticks have a unique Rotating Cylindrical charging case

-The Ear Sticks have an app that helps you modify features on the buds as well as providing Firmware Updates

-The Ear Sticks each have a custom 12.6 mm dynamic driver

-The Ear Sticks have three high definition mics that are Wind Proof/ Crowd Proof

    Packaging ⅗

To Start let’s begin with the packaging, the buds come in a long Rectangular Tube packaging that has pull & tear bars that allow you access to the Ear Sticks themselves as well as your Accessories. Keep in mind that this packaging is a tear and discard type of packaging so you can’t keep it on display after…

    NOTHING EAR (STICK) REVIEW

There’s NOTHING (ear stick) like this.

I’m working from home these days and my family is all overseas so I often video call them to have a smooth conversation I need nice good quality earbuds. I had Airpod Pro which is $249.99 and now I got this Nothing Ear (stick) Wireless Buds which is only $119 on Amazon for a tryout. My rating would be 4 out of 5. You’ll see why if you continue reading this till the end.

    UNBOXING

Sharing with you my unboxing experience. I wasn’t expecting that little box the ear buds. I love how they use paper and less plastic on the packaging. The white and red color choice for the case is a perfect combination. Look at the Cylinder design case that you can twist to access the ear stick. It’s very satisfying!

    UNBOXING VIDEO ▶️

    LIKE AND DISLIKES

I really like the design, they are really gorgeous. Very aesthetic! You can put it on your purses like just any make-up. I like how the cylinder design case and not the same as others. But I hope it comes with a bag or pouch for it because I'm worried that the case will get scratched. The controls are a bit vague and not fully responsive. All in all, it has its positives and negatives but is a great product so far. The sound quality is very impressive for its size. It has impressive bass and clarity in the highs. It has its own easy-to-use app that you can download and find your earbuds if you lose them. I like how it's water-resistant to the point that it can prevent rain, splashing water, or sweat. But…

    Nothing - Ear (Stick) Review!!

    Where do I even begin!

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

I absolutely love the design of these of these earbuds. They definitely are very unique design that I love. To the design of the case, with its very satisfying open and close mechanism. To the design of the ear buds them self. The Nothing brand is build on its transparent devices and they didn’t disappoint on the Ear (stick). To be able to see in the components that make up the Ear (stick) is a very cool experience.

    SOUND:

When it comes to sound, I truly believe everyone will have a different experience. It comes down to how they fit in your ear as well as being able to mess around with the sound in the Nothing X app. Considering their price point at $99.00 USD, I honestly enjoy the experience. To be able to mess with the bass, mid, and treble really allowed me to customize the sound experience for me. Which I really enjoyed. But like I said before it’s going to be a different experience for everyone.

    SPECS:

Battery - Single charge (up to 7 hours of listening time and 3 hours of talk time)

    - With case (up 29 hours of listening time and up to 12 hours of talk time)

Compatibility - Ear (Stick) charges inside the case. Power case chargers with usb-c chargers.

    - Nothing x app offers a really seamless experience with pairing and setting up the Ear (stick)

(I do believe you would get even a more seamless experience if you had the Nothing Phone)

After all said I’m done. I have to say I really like…

    Use of Nothing Ear(stick)

The Nothing Ear(Stick) is gorgeously designed hardware. It was very easy to set up and use out of the box. The shape of the molded tip made up for the lack of needing multiple ear tips. The design really is very aesthetically pleasing. I just spent some time trying to figure out the opening and closing mechanisms. Although I really enjoyed the mechanism it was much bulkier than some other name brands like Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 2 line or Jabra’s Elite line. The connection was fairly simple, I did use the app but it might not even be necessary, the sound was pretty much tuned the way I expect from it. The force A big negative of the earphone would be its lack of ANC(Active Noise Cancellation) and Bass. Bass is not at all close to how much I enjoy it, and for a 99$ product, I’d expect more bass and hopefully ANC. The Half in-ear design is a bit dated but it does help with not feeling like your ears are suffocating. The squeeze button is amazing as it stops any misclicks. I had the opportunity of using these on a plane and would not recommend them compared to something like the Jabra Elite 7 pro or Galaxy Buds 2 pro. While on the plane The Galaxy was able to block out the whirring noises the best and the Nothing Ear(stick) did not make any significant changes. Though this is not the ideal scenario for its use I would say the best place for this would be in the office, at home, and especially on the road where you need to be aware of your surrounding. It does lack the bass it…

    Great design but...

First of all I want to thanks HeyUp for the opportunity to try this product out.

    UNBOXING EXPERIENCE

The Ear (stick) arrive in a neat and very premium looking packaging. It’s very aestethically pleasing and it’s a nice unboxing experience. Only thing I don’t like is the fact that in order to open the box you have to “destroy” it.

The content is simple and straightforward: the buds in their sweet rotating case, a usb-c charging cable and a couple of manuals, one of them has a QR code that redirects you to the App Store/Play Store to download their Nothing X app to manage the buds.

Only thing I didn’t like was that, to open the box, you have to destroy it, as shown in the unboxing video:

    DESIGN

These Ear (stick) are gorgeous. Incredible industrial design, store inside a “lipstick-like case” that opens and closes a very fidgety way, and the buds themselves look amazing. I just have to see how is the transparent plastic gonna hold up (I’m scared of scratches and dings). This is THE real selling point of this product, and maybe the real reason you should even consider it, since there’s nothing (no pun intended, maybe…) like this in the market.

    BATTERY LIFE

Battery life is (almost) as promised: I managed to get 6,5 hours of battery life on a single charge (even though in calls they drain faster), and the case charges them I’d say 2-3 times. The case and buds themselves charge very fast through USB-C, so no complains there.

    SOUND QUALITY

    Nothing…
