Hypershell Halo Unveiled at IFA 2026: A Full-Leg Exoskeleton for the Everyday Explorer

Hypershell made a major splash at IFA 2026 in Berlin on September 3 by unveiling its latest innovation: the Hypershell Halo, a consumer-grade full-leg exoskeleton. Promising to transform outdoor exploration, the Halo is available for preorder immediately at $2,299. Shipments are expected to begin in November 2026.
The Halo represents an industry-first with its hip-knee integrated architecture. The exoskeleton features a single load-bearing carbon-fiber structure equipped with a 'fish-spine adaptive joint' that stretches from the hip down to the calf. This design allows the power to be transmitted seamlessly along the entire lower limb's kinematic chain. By using four all-new HyperDrive Pro high-performance motors (two for the hips and two for the knees), the system delivers a massive 1,490W of assistance while halving the motor weight compared to previous generations. Remarkably, the entire kit weighs just 2.6kg.

Software takes an equally dramatic leap forward. Hypershell has replaced its previous 12-state motion recognition with the new end-to-end HyperIntuition 2.0 AI motion algorithm. Utilizing over 30 built-in sensors and an on-board AI chip, the Halo continuously tracks lower-body data to predict your movements 200 milliseconds before you make them. The result is real-time, fluid assistance that naturally supports complex actions like sitting-to-standing, slow descents, jump buffering, and even casually crossing your legs.

Designed to reduce knee-muscle fatigue by up to 40%, the Halo is targeted at a broad demographic—from older adults seeking mobility support to avid hikers and runners aiming to push their physical limits. The device supports speeds of up to 17km/h and is powered by a lightweight 370g swappable battery that provides up to 20 hours of continuous use on longer treks. For users looking for a workout, a toggleable 'fitness mode' actually increases resistance to make physical activity more challenging.
